Summer Art Camps

Kick off the summer with some art fun!

 

 

Block 1 - June 7-23 - Around the World Art

Learn multi-cultural art by venturing to other countries and creating a variety of art projects from around the world. Youth will make their own passport and then travel to Australia (aboriginal art), Egypt (batik), Africa (cave drawings), China (hanging lantern), Mexico (Oaxacan art) and Italy (mosaic tile).

Block 2 - July 5-21 - Masters of Art  

Explore the art of famous artists like Henry Matisse, Norval Morrisseau, Georgia O’Keefe, and Piet Mondrian. Create painted masterpieces in the style of several fine artists on canvas, glass, fabric and more!

Block 3 - Aug. 2-18 - Summer Art

Build a permanent sand castle, create a cement stepping stone,  make your own sidewalk chalk, tie dye your own T-shirt (student must bring 1-2 100% cotton T-shirts), & sculpt with various materials.

We offer themed birthday parties for children and face painting for groups!

 

Special Art Classes:

Saturday Make-n-Take Crafts: Every 2nd Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  

Only $5/person per craft. There are usually three to four projects to choose from. All ages are welcome (adults like to make these crafts too).

July 10-make your own fishing pole, paint a baseball cap, treasure box, flag pin or patriotic placemat, make sunglass case from a tie, and more!

July 23—DaVinci Invention Convention (ages 7+)

9 a.m. -  4 p.m.  - $50/person  - 10% discount if registered before June 30 - students provide own sack lunch and drink. Students will learn to recognize the contributions of Leonardo DaVinci as artist, scientist and inventor. Participants will create their own invention, participate in impromptu invention challenges, and learn how to sketch out their ideas. This will be an unforgettable event! There will be an open house at 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 for all parents, family and friends to view the inventions. Students must be registered no later than July 15.

Preschool / Kinder Art (ages 3-6)

Mon. 2:30-3:30 p.m. or 3:45-4:45 p.m. ($35/mo.)

A creative arts program for children ages 3-6. Students will have the opportunity to explore art mediums in a fun environment!

 

Home School Art Club (ages 5-18)

Tues., Wed. or Thurs. 2:00-3:30 p.m. ($45/mo.)

A creative arts program for the home schooled child or other children who get out of school early on a certain day of the week. Students will explore the visual arts and create unique works of art.

 

Art Club (ages 5-14)

Mon. 5:15-6:45 p.m. or Tues. 3:45-5:15 p.m. or Wed.  3:45-5:15 p.m. ($45/mo.)

An after school program exploring the creative visual arts. Students will participate in drawing, painting, sculpture, design and create many art projects!

 

Advanced Art (ages 12-18)

Thurs 3:45-5:15 p.m. ($45/mo.)

After school creative arts program for advanced students to enhance and further their art experiences with drawing, painting, sculpting, design, textiles, and more!

 

Young at Art - Wed. 1-1:45 p.m. - $35/mo

(age 2-4 w/parent) Let your young child explore art and encourage creativity!

 

 

 

Watercolor Painting I for Beginner Adults

Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. ($50/mo.) ~  Learn to paint with water color techniques Jan.-May ~ still life, landscapes, portraits and abstract.

 

Acrylic Painting II for Adults

Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. ($50/mo.)~ Learn more advanced techniques with acrylic paints on canvas.

 

 

Open Studio Time - every 2nd Saturday from 1-3 p.m.  ~ FREE for enrolled students to work on their art projects. All others will be charged a $10 fee for use of facility.

$5.00 Discount for additional students in the same family  ~  Private Art Lessons: $20/hr. ~ Special Group Rates for Organizations  - can schedule times outside of these specific blocks ~ We also have at least two art exhibits each year to celebrate our students’ artwork! Class size is limited to 12, so call now! Classes include supplies unless otherwise stated. There is a $5.00 registration fee for new weekly students. The Twin Falls Creative Arts Center follows the Twin Falls School District’s holiday schedule for Thanksgiving, Christmas Break and Spring Break. All supplies included unless otherwise noted. Family discounts and registration fees do not apply to Make-n-Take crafts.
